Agenda
Reactive command-oriented apps in Ruby
Ismael Celis says:
How the command pattern, CQRS and simple interfaces can build reactive, collaborative Ruby apps with very few building blocks.
AI fixed our flaky tests overnight (with two weeks of help)
Fritz Meissner says:
Abstract: We tolerated intermittent failures in our hotwire test suite for three years before Claude Code found a solution one night. It only took two weeks to turn the overnight solution into something useful! Come hear a story about eliminating flakiness in tests that cover hotwire pages, how AI helped (spoiler: a lot), how it might have hurt (also a lot), and what it took to avoid the worst of what it suggested. Along the way we’ll reflect on how to be discerning in the face of AI hype and pessimism.
Afterwards
When the talks come to an end we’ll decamp to a local pub for some food, some drinks and some chat with your fellow attendees.
Of course, even though this is the socialising part and seems more informal, please remember that still we consider it to be a part of the meeting and covered by our code of conduct.
